The Civi Awards and Civi Coalition were founded to inspire civic-minded students and educators dedicated to building a more engaged and informed society. The Civi Awards, established with Genesee Valley BOCES, honor students pursuing the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness who demonstrate a commitment to positive community impact, dialogue, and civic action.
Building on this success, the Civi Coalition supports educators committed to bridging divides and fostering constructive conversations in today’s polarized world. As we near America’s 250th anniversary, the Coalition remains dedicated to preparing students as active participants in our democracy. Join us in shaping the next generation of engaged citizens. Below is a schedule of meetings & providers for 2024/2025. Meetings are typically held from 2:00-3:00 PM virtually.
The first half hour of meetings are presentations you see from providers above. The second half hour involve breakout rooms structured around various topics involving our four pillars.
